Interest... Not Interested!

Ah. Why of all things was this to happen today. Okay, so in college, a lot of the time you gon't have the time to make friends as you would in high school. Mainly because in a college setting, the only time you might run into people is in the class you take with that person. Now that said, there happens to be a guy in my composition class that interests me. NO I'm not interested in him in a romantic way, just interested in that "I think we could be awesome friends, please talk to me!" way. He's this perfect mix of things. He's writing a paper on comic books, he dresses nice, and on top of that he listens to good  music and he's intelligent! Perfect for being friends! But I'm hitting the point of nearly being caught listening to his conversations.
Yeah, I haven't been as covert as I should be, because I seem to be slipping up. When he says something or refers to something that I enjoy (as I type he's talking about Iron Man and how the media has boosted the his growth as a character), I smile because I've found someone who thinks like me and I LOVE IT!! But I believe he's catching on.. IN THE WRONG WAY. He happens to look over at me more often mid saying something, catches me smiling and I notice, freak out and look away. I can feeeeeeeel him looking at me! I know this sounds like I'm trying to flirt, but I'm really not...  It's just hard sometimes to find people in a big campus that have like views and interests because really, with classes and work I have no time for clubs to meet people. it's kind of sad, but very true. Now all of this is the intro to something I've had on my mind:

How in the world do you discern between interest and interested?!?

This is a very confusing subject, because I don't want to lead people off into a world of thinking I want something I really don't want. I just want friendship, so how do I get that, and JUST that? Hmm, as they say in psychology class.. Further research is needed. HELP MEEEEEE, I DON'T WANT A BOYFRIENDDDDDDD

Come To Class Early.

Come to class early. For a moment, a single instance in time, you will be allowed a solitude like no other. There is a silence in the room as you and maybe another person across the room share this paradise. No one bothers from outside, no one  bothers from in. It's just you. Something that doesn't happen too often. So take joys in the calm and quiet, because in college... you don't always get the opportunity. Give yourself a little gift.. Come to class early.
